Welcome to Our Centre

Students enrolled in any vocational course or university degree across Australia can register with us.

Our Centre is a secure space where students can focus entirely on their studies. Students can connect with like-minded people and experience a campus-like environment while they study locally in the Cape York Region.

We are committed to helping our students settle into their studies, improve their academic skills, and ensure they have the tools to succeed.

Access Hours

We recognise that our students often need flexibility to balance their study, life and work commitments. Our Centre is staffed from 8:30am to 5:00 pm each business day and is open to registered students with swipe card access for extended hours, seven days a week.

Quiet Study Spaces

Our Centre is designed with students in mind, offering a quiet study space free from the interruptions of home. We have three key study areas:

  • Dedicated quiet study rooms with computers and space to bring personal devices to work on.
  • Tutorial rooms, which can be used for seminars, tutorials, workshops, exams and group work.
  • Collaboration and breakout space, including a kitchen and coffee machine.

Technology

Students have access to high-speed internet (100 Mbps), printing and copying facilities, video conferencing, desktop computers, and BYO spaces. We also run workshops to help students navigate their university’s learning portal and enhance their academic skills.

Academic Skills Support

Registered students can receive support to improve their academic skills through workshops on referencing, essay writing, and one-on-one sessions with our dedicated team.

Wraparound Support

We offer support at each of the steps students take to pursue a vocational or university education and to succeed in their studies.

For future students, this can include guidance on which course or university may be the right fit, and the different pathways to get you there. For those brand new to study, we can help you better understand how universities and other training organisations operate and communicate.

For current students, we equip you with the skills and information needed to manage your study load, navigate learning portals and connect with university and training organisation services. We assist with understanding and working within institutional policies, and help you find and apply for scholarships, placements and internships. Our staff are also trained in mental health first aid and offers well-being support.

Exams

Our Centre offers professional exam invigilation services with qualified supervision and exam rooms. We also provide remote proctoring for online exams. To book an exam room, please contact us.
